only if selected, every student must provide letter of confirmation of enrolment (not a letter of admission) signed by their post secondary institution before any payment is made. 
A student is only eligible to apply for a scholarship once per year.  For example, a student who received a scholarship for the fall semester is not eligible to apply for the following winter semester.
1.         FALL/WINTER SEMESTER - ONION LAKE CREENATION POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS – A
Description

No less than three (3) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 - $2,500 each are awarded semi-annually to students of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who are attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution.  In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Selection Committee of Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust select students semi-annually. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarships to the selected students is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

2.         FALL/WINTER SEMESTER - ONION LAKE CREE NATION POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS – B
Description

No less than ten (10) scholarships in the amount of $500 each are awarded semi-annually to students of the OnionLake Cree Nation who are attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution.  In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Selection Committee of Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust select students semi-annually. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarships to the selected students is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

3.         FALL SEMESTER - CONNOR CLARK & LUNN –INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT LTD – POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS
Description

This scholarship in the amount of $2,500 is awarded annually to a student of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who is attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution in Canada. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

Annual funding for this specific scholar ship is generously provided by Connor, Clark & Lunn, a Canadian Investment Management firm that provides investment services to Onion Lake Nation’s Wicekaskosiw Sahkahikan Askiwi-Pimiy Heritage Trust Fund.

4.         WINTER SEMESTER – LEITH WHEELER INVESTMENTCOUNSEL LTD. – POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS
Description

These two (2) scholarships in the amount of $1,250 each (or one (1) scholarship in the amount of $2,500) are awarded annually to students of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who are attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the students each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarships to the selected student is that of theOLETF Board of Trustees.

Annual funding for this specific scholarship is generously provided by Leith Wheler Investment Counsel, Vancouver, a Canadian Investment Management firm that provides investment services to OnionLake Nation’s Wicekaskosiw Sahkahikan Askiwi-Pimiy Heritage Trust Fund.

5.         FALL SEMESTER – WSAPHTF POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS
Description

This scholarship in the amount of$2,500 is awarded annually to a student of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who is attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution inCanada.  In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Selection Committee of trustees of the Onion Lake Cree NationEducation Trust select a student each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

Source of Funding

Annual funding for this specific scholarship is generously provided by individuals associated with theWicekaskosiw Sahkahikan Askiwi-Pimiy Heritage Trust Fund (“WSAPHTF”) in their personal, individual capacities only (Dr. Stanley Hamilton, Julian Leong, JustinJimmy, William MacLachlan and Terry Munro).

6.         FALL SEMESTER – ADVANCE ENGINEERED PRODUCTS GROUP – REGINA POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP
Description

This one-time scholarship in the amount of $1,500 is awarded to a student of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who is attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution in Canada. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student.  Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

Funding for this specific scholarship is generously provided by Advance Engineered Products Group – Regina – a firm that provides equipment and services to Onion Lake Nation’s Askiy Apoy Hauling LP.

7.         FALL SEMESTER – MNP ACCOUNTING, TAX & CONSULTING - SASKATOON OFFICE POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP
Description

This annually reviewed scholarship in the amount of $1,500 is awarded to a student of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who is attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution in Canada. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. Preference given to student studying accounting and or finance. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

Funding for this specific scholarship is generously provided by MNP, a Canadian accounting firm that provides auditing and other services to Onion Lake Nation.

8.         FALL SEMESTER – HBI OFFICE PLUS PRINCE ALBERT, SK POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP
Description

This reviewed annually scholarship in the amount of $500 is awarded to a student of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who is attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution in Canada. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

Funding for this specific scholarship is generously provided by HBI Office Plus – Prince Albert, SK – a firm that provides office supplies to Onion Lake Cree Nation.

9.         WINTER SEMESTER – aodbt architecture + interior design - Saskatoon POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS
Description

This scholarship in the amount of $500 is awarded annually to a student of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who is attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. Preference given to students studying architecture, interior design, engineering, or construction related programs. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student each year.  Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

Annual funding for this specific scholarship is generously provided by aodbt architecture & interior design firm that provides architecture and interior design services to Onion Lake Nation.

10.         WINTER SEMESTER – MAURICE LAW FIRM -CALGARY POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS
Description

This semi-annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000 is awarded semi-annually to a student of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who is attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

Annual funding for this specific scholarship is generously provided by the Maurice Law Firm that provides legal services to Onion Lake Nation.

11.         FALL/WINTER SEMESTER – HUSKY OIL POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS
Description

These semi-annual scholarships in the amount of $1,000 are awarded to students of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who are attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

12.         WINTER SEMESTER – RBC ROYAL BANK - SASKATOON BRANCH POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP
Description

This scholarship in the amount of $500 is awarded to a student of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who is attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

13.         FALL/WINTER SEMESTER – INTER PIPELINE DISCOVERY AWARD SCHOLARSHIP
Description

This semi-annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000 is awarded semi-annually to a student of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who is attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

Annual funding for this specific scholarship is generously provided by the Inter Pipeline- headquarters in Calgary.

14.         WINTER SEMESTER – WITTEN LAW LLP SCHOLARSHIP
Description

This scholarship reviewed annually in the amount of $1,000 is awarded to one or more students of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who are attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution. Preference to those studying a law-related subject matter, including but not limited to, administration of justice and law enforcement. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.

15.         WINTER SEMESTER – QUOREX CONSTRUCTION LTD. SCHOLARSHIP
Description

Scholarships in in various amounts are awarded annually to students of the Onion Lake Cree Nation who are attending full-time studies at any accredited post-secondary institution. In addition to the academic standards of the applicants, consideration may be given to the student’s community service, artistic or athletic achievements and financial circumstances. Preference given to students studying architecture, interior design, engineering, or construction related programs. The Trustees of the Onion Lake Cree Nation Education Trust will select the student each year. Responsibility of administration and the payment of the scholarship to the selected student is that of the OLETF Board of Trustees.
